Sales Reporting and Statistics Information

The South African Agricultural Machinery Association (SAAMA) was established in 1985 to serve as a combined forum for the agricultural machinery industry in South Africa.

SAAMA, through Lightstone AUTO, provides a source for accurate equipment statistics. Lightstone AUTO has since 1986 administered SAAMA member’s sales of tractors, combines and implements.

The SAAMA sales data is made available to members through AgriStats, which is a secured and powerful analytical web application. AgriStats operates on the same AutoStats platform used by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA) and the South African Tyre Manufacturers Conference (SATMC) members.

From all AgriStats revenue generated by Lightstone AUTO an OEM Data License fee is paid to SAAMA.

Only paid-up SAAMA members are allowed to take part in the sales reporting and receive the sales data (and then only to the level they submit and make available to other members).

As a SAAMA member, you have three options:

  • You may choose not to report
  • You may choose to report monthly with your sales data included monthly and released monthly
  • You may choose to report monthly, with your sales data included monthly but only released delayed (six months).

Lightstone AUTO also maintains the SAAMA website.
